Please see the letter below for an update about a positive staff case of COVID-19.
As tomorrow is the first day of our second semester, please note the following:
- In person instruction will continue for all grade levels and all in-person cohorts tomorrow.
- Only students who signed up for in-person instruction for Quarter 3 should report to campus.
- If your student is coming to campus for the first time tomorrow, they should report to the following locations upon arrival:
- Middle School: Cafeteria
- High School: Atrium
- If your student is virtual and is missing their Second Semester Schedule/any of their Teams Channels, please have them contact the following individuals for support:

Dear Families:
We hope that you had a safe holiday! Please note the following updates about our return:
- All classes will resume on Tuesday, January 5th. There are no classes tomorrow, January 4th.
- Novel distribution for all grade levels will be held by the cafeteria tomorrow from 10:00am – 4:00pm. Students should pull up by the cafeteria doors to collect their novels.
- All in-person students should take the Skyward Daily Health Check at http://tinyurl.com/YPSkyward tomorrow by noon. This will help us plan for in-person return. Please contact your Dean of Students if any of the following is true:
- You have tested positive for COVID
- In-person students: You are showing 2+ symptoms of COVID
- In-person students: You have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID.
- The last day to take the Learning Option Survey for Quarter 3 is Wednesday, January 6th. If you would like to change learning environments (to in-person or to virtual) starting January 19, parents must take the Learning Option Survey at http://tinyurl.com/YPSkyward. Directions on how to take the survey are here.

Dear Families:
We hope that you had a safe and restful Thanksgiving Break! Our most up to date parent email is linked here. Please review the following information:
In order to ensure that we maximize the health and safety of the entire YES Prep community when we return, we have decided that Monday, November 30th will be a fully virtual, synchronous day. This will give YES Prep staff the time necessary to assess the potential impacts of the holiday on our ability to safely reopen campuses after break. We would like parents to help with the following:
• Make sure that your student is logging onto his/her classes virtually on Monday, Nov. 30th.
• Please have your student complete the Student Daily Health Check on Monday, Nov. 30th even though they are not coming to campus.
• Please ask your student to be honest while filling out the health check and to be responsive to any Brays Oaks staff that reaches out to them on Monday, Nov. 30th.
Our wish is that there are no Covid-19 cases brought on to campus when we return on Tuesday, Dec. 1st, but we need all staff and students to be honest and truthful on their Daily Health Checks to help minimize that risk.

Thank you for your flexibility and immediate response yesterday in our emergency campus closure as a result of a positive staff case of COVID-19. In order to provide ample time to fully disinfect the building and allow close contacts to be tested, we have made the decision to keep the building closed through Tuesday, November 10th. All classes will be held virtually and the soonest we would re-open the building for in-person instruction is Wednesday, November 11th.
