Below is the May calendar! There are many events happening, so please review it.

Message from Principal Hall-Swope

Dear Cavalier Families-

We are just a few weeks away from wrapping up the school year! While there are lots of fun activities to look forward to (Senior Signing Day, field trips, and culture days) we must continue to hold our students to high behavioral expectations so that we can have a smooth end to the school year. Beginning next week, if your child is out of dress code, you will receive either a call or text about their consequences and requesting you bring a change of clothes. This is to ensure student safety and a college-ready learning environment for every student as we end the school year. A few reminders about dress code:

• • Pajama pants are not allowed
  • Sandals/shoes without a back are not allowed.
  • Crop tops are not allowed.
  • Jeans with holes above the knee are not allowed

In addition to dress code expectations, we expect all students to be on time to school and all classes, and following cell phone expectations throughout the building. Students should not be on their cell phones during class time. Our classrooms have cell phone holders where students are expected to place their phones so they are not using them in class unless it is for an educational activity. Please remind your students that learning should be the #1 focus while they are on campus.

 

Senior Signing Day Information:

All 8th-11th graders have the opportunity to attend Senior Signing Day on Thursday, May 18th at NRG Stadium, but there are certain rules for attending. 

• Students should not bring backpacks, computers, or other items besides their personal cell phones to school that day.
• Students that arrive after 10:00am will not be allowed to attend SSD at NRG.  
• Senior Signing Day t-shirts will be given to students next week between Monday and Wednesday. All students should wear this t-shirt on Thursday.
