Message from Principal Hall-Swope

Hello Cavalier families. Next week begins our final month of school. May is a busy month for Brays Oaks: STAAR, AP, and MAP testing, field trips and on-campus award ceremonies, Senior Signing Day, last week of school activities, and graduation. We want every student on campus every day so they can make memories with friends and staff and also close out the year strong. Grades still matter, so continue to push your student to complete their work in class, ask for help, and be present and on time to all classes. Please continue to check Family Notes weekly and social media for all the happenings at Brays this month. Thank you for being an active Brays Oaks parent.

As we enter the final stretch of the school year the front office would like to review our protocol for early student pickup. Please remember that all our polices are in place  to ensure the safety of all students on campus. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding.

  1. Arrive to campus and buzz in to the intercom.
  2. Once the front office picks up, state your name and reason for being on campus (e.g. to pick up a student).
  3. Present your photo ID to the camera so that the front office staff member and see it and confirm you are listed to be able to pickup the student.
  4. Once verified as someone who can pick up the student, you will be buzzed into the building
  5. Go to the front office window and present your ID for the front office team to complete checking out your student
  6. The front office team will get your student from class

It is important to note that you will not be able to release a student to someone, even a parent or guardian without a photo ID. Additionally, if you are not listed as an emergency contact for the student even with a photo ID we will not be able to check the student out to you. Lastly, we will not be able to check students out early after 3:15pm so that we can ensure a smooth dismissal for all students.
